Story
Ram (Sharwanand) meets his Childhood Love Jaanu (Samantha) in a school reunion. Movie revolves around the moments these two spend, meeting after long time and remembering all the moments they spent in their childhood.
Artiste Performances
Sharwanand gives an amazing performance. His innocence, subtle humor, emotions are carried very well. This marks as one of his best performance.
Samantha is absolutely terrific in the role of Jaanu. She impresses with her fabulous performance in emotional scenes. She is an apt pick for the role. This is one of her best performance too.
Younger Jaanu and Ram too have done an excellent job. Vennela Kishore, Ramesh and Sharanya are good. Rest of the cast are OK.

Analysis
Jaanu is an official remake of "96" from the same director. Movie starts with a excellent song that is shot beautifully showing wildlife.
Reunion scene planning is shown in a way everyone will relive their school memories. Scenes between the leads have worked out very well. The Reunion scene is one of the highlights.
Flashback episodes were good too but slow narration is the only drawback.
Sharwanand and Samantha are the heart and soul of the movie. They both breathe life into the characters of Ram and Jaanu. Matured love story between Ram and Jaanu has been amazingly narrated.
There is one scene in hotel where Sharwa talks about what all he did when he missed Jaanu that will leave the audience in tears
Entertainment aspect was also well blended into the movie. It neither goes over-the-top nor is too less. It's neat. Climax is very emotional and Heart warming.
Songs are decent, BGM is too good. Camera work is top notch.

Jaanu gives you a nostalgia of your childhood memories, love, friendship and many things. Leaving it's slow pace and few dragged scenes, with it's beautiful scenes, emotions and Outstanding performance from Sharwanand and Samantha, this movie offers you a one of its kind experience. On a Whole, Jaanu ends up as a Beautiful and mature love story
Bottomline: You will fall in love with the Love story of Ram and "Jaanu"
