Artiste Performances
Nani as Vasdev is good but as Shyam Singha Roy is Outstanding. He portrays emotions and aggression in a terrific way. This definitely will stand as one of his best performances.
Sai Pallavi is beautiful and nails it with her performance. Her portrayal as Maithreyi brings good depth to the proceedings and she carries it with excellence.
Krithi Shetty is cute and does a neat job in her role. Madonna Sebastian as a Lawyer has done a great job too. Abhinav gomatam is excellent with is comedy timing and evokes good laughs.

Analysis
Trailers and Promos of Shyam Singha Roy promised an engaging Periodic Drama with a message and movie lives up to that.
Movie starts in present introducing Nani as Vasudev and his dream to become a movie director. Movie provides fun and entertains you till the conflict point comes into play.
Proceedings gets interesting from the point Vasudev starts getting flashes of Shyam Singha Roy which leads to introducing the conflict points in the story.
Pre Interval to Interval episode is one of the highlights in the movie. The psychological point of view to understand what's happening with Vasudev has been executed well.
Shyam Singha Roy is introduced in the second half. His character and attitude is established with a superb scene. Nani and Sai Pallavi are charming on Screen and their chemistry works big time. Sirivennela Song is soothing to ears and shot beautifully.
Few scenes in second half look a bit dragged and a little over dramatic. Chopping of a few minutes here and there could have made the pace faster and the movie crisp. A Few more scenes of Shyam Singha Roy could have made the movie even better as after the flashback, we feel that Shyam Singha Roy should have been give more screentime.
Court scene at the climax feels a bit predictable and makes the narration a flat but the ending is Heart warming.
Music and Background score by Mickey are a major asset to the movie. They elevate emotional and intense scenes to good heights. All the songs are wonderfully picturized.
Dialogues are well written, few of them are hard hitting. Editing is neat but could have been better. Visuals are Top notch and match the tone of the movie perfectly. Production values are lavish.
(MY) Final Word
Shyam Singha Roy deals with reincarnation. Though it's a concept that is explored many times on Indian screen, directors does a fabulous job in narrating it differently with good fun, emotions and excellent love track between Nani and Sai Pallavi. Apart from pacing at places in second half, Shyam Singha Roy offers a Heartwarming Periodic love drama with a sensible message.
Bottomline: Shyam Singha Roy - Khuba Balo (Chaala Bagundi)
Note: This is my take on the movie. That is why I am not rating the movie. I respect each and every movie. Making people read my review and influencing them to form an impression on a movie before watching the movie is never my intention. I am a Movie lover too. This is just to express my view on the movie. 😊
