Vishal is terrific. He portrays the common man's anger and emotions rightly and brings lot of depth to the proceedings. He gives an excellent performance.

Dimple Hayati looks beautiful and does a decent job in her limited screen time.

Tulasi, Raveena Ravi and George Maryan are great in their roles and bring emotional depth to the movie.

Yogi Babu generates few laughs and is good. Rest of the Cast have done their part.

Analysis
Common man getting angry on people who get away with crimes they do with the help of bad people in authority and then revolting against them is shown in many movies. Samanyudu deals with the same subject with a different approach.

Movie starts with introducing different threads. Director takes his time to establish all the characters and threads which makes the inital portions dull.

Even the love track between the lead pair is just okayish. Dimple Hayati gets very limited screen time. She appears in a song and couple of scenes in both the halves.

As the movie starts getting to the pre-Interval, proceedings get racy. Emotional depth starts here making the proceedings intriguing. All the threads introduced are brought together in an interesting way filling the atmosphere with suspense. Interval bang feels a bit heavy but strong setting the thriller stage for a thrilling second half.

Second half is very engaging compared to first half. Protagonist tries every way to get to the antagonist but all his attempts fail as the antagonist is one step ahead. The cat and mouse game is shown interestingly.

Movie suffers with slow pacing. Though second halfway is racy than first half, there are certain scenes that make you feel bored.

Proceedings pick up pace once the movie reaches pre climax with an emotional scene that leads to a superb action scene in climax. Movie ends giving all the threads and character arcs a satisfying end.

Editing could have been better. Trimming few scenes could have made the movie even more better. Fight scenes are extremely well designed. Music by Yuvan Shankar Raja is another plus to the movie. Camera work is excellent. Dialogues are good.

(MY) Final Word
Saamanyudu shows a common man's anger and the impact when he revolts against bad people and power. Director tried to narrate it with Revenge being the driving force and almost succeeded in giving an intriguing experience but slow narration played a spoilsport. Leaving it aside, Saamanyudu ends up as a gripping revenge drama.

Bottomline: Saamanyudu - In"tense"

Note: This is my take on the movie. That is why I am not rating the movie. I respect each and every movie. Making people read my review and influencing them to form an impression on a movie before watching the movie is never my intention. I am a Movie lover too. This is just to express my view on the movie. 😊
