Story
A retired army colonel (Jagapathi Babu) sets up a sharpshooting training center in a village. He starts to check everyone's abilities in shooting. In this process he comes across Sakhi (Keerthy Suresh) and is very impressed with her skills in shooting. She is very well known in the village as Bad luck Sakhi as the whole village believes that where ever she goes, Bad luck follows. So how will Sakhi take this up? Will she win in this? Rest forms the story of how bad luck Sakhi turns Good luck Sakhi.

Artiste Performances
Keerthy suresh is amazing as Sakhi. The way she carried the role is superb. She completely gets into the charecter of a village girl and nails it with her accent and body language. She gives a stellar performance

Aadi Pinishetty gives a good performance in his limited screen time. Jagapathi Babu is excellent in trainer role. He too gives a great performance.

Rahul Ramakrishna comes up with not comedy but a role with negative shade and he too does a decent job. Rest of the cast are Ok.

Plus Points
Keerthy Suresh
Training scenes
Few dialogues
Inthandamga song
Music

Drawbacks (Which I Felt)
Flat narration
Dubbing
Lack of Proper Conflict and Emotion

Analysis
Movie starts off with introducing Sakhi and why she is called bad luck Sakhi in the village with a song. Then Colonel enters the village and sets up a sharpshooting training centre.

First half of the movie is pretty well with some good scenes between Keerthy suresh, Aadhi and Jagapathi babu. "Inthandamga" song is shot beautifully and is so good to watch on screen.

There are few training scenes in first half that are superb. Dialogues are very well written in these scenes. Interval point is decent.

Movie suffers mainly with its flat narration. There are no major turns or any emotional highs to the story which make the proceedings bland. Even the dubbing work is poor as many dialogues are inaudible.

Apart from that movie is decent watch. Second half starts with a wonderful scene of initial selections for state wise competitions. Dialogues here too are very well written.

Second half focuses on conflict between Jagapathi Babu, Keerthy suresh and Aadhi. How Sakhi misunderstands her respect towards coach as love and how Goli raju Misunderstands Sakhi is shown well. All their arcs are given a satisfying end towards climax. Movie ends with Sakhi winning not because of bad or good luck but because of believing in herself and her strengths .

Editing is very good. They have done a good job with keeping the movie short as the runtime became an added advantage. Music by DSP is fresh and perfect to the movie, especially Inthandamga. Both songs and BGM are impressive. Dialogues in few scenes are fantastic.

All the characters, dressing style, accent and the whole set up brings that village atmosphere perfectly. Production values are good too. Camerawork is neat.

(MY) Final Word
Good luck Sakhi is about a village girl who is called as Bad luck Sakhi going all out to explore her strengths and proving that rather than believing in luck believe in yourself and your strengths that will lead you to victory. Director tried his best to deliver a fresh sports drama experience with village backdrop but flat narration and no strong conflict played a spoilsport. Apart from that movie has its moments. On a whole, Good Luck Sakhi ends up as a Feel good entertainer.

Bottomline: Good Luck Sakhi - Watch it for Keethy!

Note: This is my take on the movie. That is why I am not rating the movie. I respect each and every movie. Making people read my review and influencing them to form an impression on a movie before watching the movie is never my intention. I am a Movie lover too. This is just to express my view on the movie. 😊
