Story
Story starts with team of ISRO led by Rakesh Dhawan (Akshay Kumar) ready for launch.  Rocket takes off and everything looks good. Suddenly there is a problem, due to which they abort the mission and the rocket is blasted in air. They announce that the mission turned unsuccessful. From that moment everyone starts commenting on India. With this Rakesh is sent to Mars division and a Special person from NASA is bought on to work on the Chandrayaan 2. Tara Shinde (Vidya Balan), Member of the team was the Project Director and due to her misinterpretation they had to abort the mission which makes her feel guilty. She keeps on thinking and interacting with Rakesh about what we could have done. When Rakesh is about to lose hope Tara comes up with an innovative idea which makes ISRO - India the first ever country to reach Mars in the very first attempt and also India's first Interplanetary expedition. What is the Plan? Will they succeed? What is the other achievement that is achieved by ISRO? This all forms the rest of the story.

Artiste Performance
Akshay Kumar never leaves a chance to show his love towards nation. We have seen many movies from him like Airlift, Kesari, Padman, Gold, Toilet-Ek Prem Katha and More. But this movie stands as the best of all he has done. The way he portrayed the role of scientist Rakesh will just leave you in Awe. The way he performs, emotes, his sarcasm are convincing. More than a scientist he exhibits Leadership qualities and that's what makes us love his character.

Vidya Balan!!! She just breathed life into the role of Tara Shinde. The way she portrays the role of a middle class house wife and the Project Director at ISRO is just amazing. She gets involved into the charecter so much that we don't see Vidya Balan on screen, We see Tara Shinde throughout the movie.

Coming to the Team formed by Rakesh and Tara for Mission Mangal, Nitya Menon, Taapsee, Kirti Kulhari, Sonakshi Sinha, Sharman Joshi, H.G Dattatreya. Everyone gets involved into their roles. As said, we don't see them, we see their characters.

Everyone in the movie played their role with conviction.

Analysis
Mission Mangal gives us a beautiful experience of one of India's greatest achievements. The way director has shown how the team worked on it, how they faced all the challenges and launched Mangalyaan sucessfully making it India's pride is Astonishing.

Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan are the heart and Soul of the movie. They are simply amazing. Even the team members too. We never feel that "this person is a misfit for the role" seeing anyone in the movie. Casting was so perfect. Everyone enjoyed playing the role.

Dialogues in the movie were so impactful. Dialogues like "ISRO was always Impossible Space Research Organisation" and many more hit you hard. Screenplay is really Fantastic. Especially the way they prepare a plan for satellite is shown brilliantly. You will definitely get goosebumps throughout many times.

Women Power is excellently highlighted in the movie. This proves that if women try and do something, They can achieve no less than a man's achievement.

Being a serious space movie, It has a very good amount of Entertainment. Comedy is generated from normal conversations and Rakesh's sarcasm that evokes very good laughs.

We feel that movie is kind of losing it's track during the beginning of Second half, But within few minutes it's back on track. There are many moments in the movie which gives you goosebumps, Especially in the second half.

Best part is when they Initiate the launch of "Mangalyaan". From there till end we are just taken into the ISRO Launch station. That's how it has been narrated. You will unknowingly move to the edge of your seat towards the climax.

Music is excellent and elevates the movie to another level. Editing is perfect. Visual effects too are great. Dialogues are terrific.

(MY) Final Word
This movie is about one of India's Biggest Achievements. This film makes every Indian proud. This is a tribute to our ISRO Scientists, their work, and one of their Greatest Achievements. This is a Must Watch!!

Bottom line: "Mission Mangal" -  A Film That Makes Every Indian Proud.

Note: This is my take on the movie. That is why I am not rating the movie. I respect each and every movie. Making people read my review and influencing them to form an impression of a movie before watching the movie is never my intention. I am a Movie lover too. This is just to express my view on the movie. 😊
