Story
Movie starts with two sisters playing in a swimming pool. Leena, Mother (Neha Chauhan) gets one sister, Munni(Baby Sri Muktha) out of the pool and asks Raaj, Father (Ravi Babu) to bring another one out. As he is busy in a phone call he forgets that. The one is pool gets asthama attack and dies. After this incident family shifts to new house as they are unable to forget their lost daughter. In the new house, A Spirit keeps bothering Munni and tries to get her out of the house. After a series of trails finally Spirit makes Munni disapper from a CCTV enabled and Fully secured house. Who is the spirit? Why did she take away Munni? Will the family save Munni? This forms the rest of the story.
Drawbacks (Which I Felt)
Analysis
Ravi Babu always tries to give the audience an out of the box experience. He came up with an excellent subject "Avunu" which attracted the public very much with his trademark taking. Though Avunu 2 didn't do that well, Avunu franchise is definitely one of his unique piece of work.
Bottomline: "Aaviri" - Interesting Suspense Thriller

Artiste Performance
Ravi Babu in father role performs well. As his previous directed movies, he comes with a positive role with Negative shades in Aaviri too and does very great in both the shades.
Baby Srimuktha gives an excellent performance. She looks cute and is excellent in her role. She perfoms very well during the paranormal episodes and emotional sequnces.
Neha Chauhan looks beautiful and has given a very good performance as mother. She performed very well in few key sequnces and emotional scenes.
Mukthar Khan as Police officer does good work. Bharat Shankar as Paranormal Investigator was good too. Rest of the cast has done the required.

Now Ravi Babu is here with yet another different movie "Aaviri". This movie too falls under Avunu movie genre. First half of the movie is same as avunu. We don't see a ghost, but things like moving chairs around, taking off the blanket etc happen which makes us feel the presence of an invisibile entity.
First half is very slow but has its moments. Later that moments too turn repetitive. It's all about the kid trying to escape from house but fails as her parents or security stop her. It's just different situations leading her being stopped from escaping. This is what happens till Pre interval.
At Pre interval sequence movie starts picking up. Interval point is interesting and sets the suspense about what happens to their daughter.
Second half is very engaging than first half. Family comes to know there was a ghost all this time and it was the one who took away their daughter. They call up a Paranormal investigator.
From this point till the end the movie is racy. You don't get bored in second half. The house set up looks like a replica of " Conjuring house" and is perfect for a movie like this.
Production values are good. Background score plays a key role. Vaidhhy creates a great impact while thrilling moments and suspense sequences.
Runtime is one of the major plus to the movie. When subjects like this are taken, there shouldn't be any diversions like songs, comedy etc. Director has done a brilliant job is making sure that he doesn't deviate from what he is trying to say and ensured the movie is short, racy and engaging.
As I said earlier, Ravi Babu's role comes with both positive and negative shade. Till last 10 mins we don't even think that his role has a negative shade. With an interesting twist revealed, They find their daughter and movie comes to an end.
(MY) Final Word
This movie is a suspense thriller and till end it's true to it's genre. Though the theme is seen in many horror movies before, the treatment is different. Ravi Babu's Mark narration keeps you engaged throughout. Forgetting few dull moments in first half this suspense thriller impresses you. Finally this movie ends up as a interesting watch to thriller genre lovers and a decent watch to general audience

Note: This is my take on the movie. That is why I am not rating the movie. I respect each and every movie. Making people read my review and influencing them to form an impression of a movie before watching the movie is never my intention. I am a Movie lover too. This is just to express my view on the movie. 😊
