Story
Somaraju (Rajendra Prasad), is a well known and a happy going old man living in a village. On the occasion of his birthday, his grandson (Viswant) and Granddaughter (Harshitha) come to his house. While celebrating his birthday, They reveal that they both are in love and they request their Grand father to talk to their parents. Playing a trick, Somaraju Manages to call their parents to his place. He conveys about the love between youngsters and Parents agree onto it. But due to some conflict, Both of them break up. Somaraju passes away suddenly and everything changes. Somaraju's soul sees the true colours of his children and everything what he thought till then completely turns upside down. What will happen now? Will he be able to get his Grandchildren married? How will he put a full stop to all these family conflicts? This forms the rest.

Artiste Performance
Rajendra Prasad gives a very matured performance. His performance in emotional Scenes and few crucial moments are excellent. This role has a shade of his role from "Aa Naluguru"
Viswant, the main lead does good job. Harshitha as heroine is good and she looks beautiful.
Vennela Kishore is the key and bigger asset to the movie. He gives an extraordinary performance both in comedy and emotional scenes.
Thagubothu Ramesh and Dhanraj evoke few laughs. Rest of the cast are OK.

Analysis
Tholubommalata works more with family audience. It has elements that a typical family entertainer has. Love track, emotions, Family conflicts, comedy etc.
First half is very entertaining. Rajendra Prasad-Vennela Kishore Duo are the main highlight of the movie. Their experienced comedy timing worked out very well and generate many laughs. Vennela Kishore played a crucial role in entertaining the audience.
Interval point is decent. Till Interval the director gave the movie a decent run. Post interval he loses the tempo because it goes on a slow narration in flashback episode showing the love story of leads.
A short flashback with one song would have done even good. Later the movie comes back and runs on the same note as in first half.
Pre Climax sequence looks a bit stretched. But people who get connected to the movie from starting will definitely have tears in their eyes during climax. On a high emotional note, Movie comes to an end.
Music is Ok. Background Score is good. Production Values are very nice. Editing could have been better. Cinematography is Awesome.
(MY) Final Word:
Tholubommalata works out more for Family Audience. Apart from Lead actors, It's Vennela Kishore who steals the show. Whenever there is Vennela Kishore on screen, Movie gets energy. Leaving a few hiccups here and there, you can watch it for comedy and Rajendra prasad. On a whole, Tholubommalata ends up as a could have been better Family drama.
Bottomline: Tholubommalata - Only for Rajendra prasad and Vennela Kishore
