Story
A Director in New York Wants to make a documentary on the Life of George Reddy. She shows all the information she gathered through News paper clippings and a video of George Reddy (Sandeep Madhav). Their team still doubts if she can make a documentary with this resources. She remembers of an article that was deleted which had complete information about George Reddy. She takes permission from her team and Goes to India to meet people who know George Reddy. Who is This George Reddy? What is the cause he fought for? How he became a Revolutionary Student Leader of Osmania University? This forms the rest of the story.

Artiste Performance
Sandeep Madhav gives a Stellar Performance as George Reddy. The way he delivers dialogues during speech scenes and few crucial episodes is terrific. His performance in action sequences with his Blade trick is simply superb. He is an apt choice for this role.

Muskaan is cute and plays a role with two different shades. She has done a great job too.

Satya Dev does an extended cameo as a student leader and gives a neat performance. Pelli Choopulu Fame Abhay gets a meaty role as angry, short tempered man and he too is good at his performance.

Rest of the cast are Ok.

Analysis
The concept of a person joining a college as a normal student and fighting the opponents, the consequences he faces, moving to college elections, later becoming a Brand and a Student leader was started by Ram Gopal Varma with "Shiva". We have seen the same College politics in Mani Ratnam's Classic "Yuva" (Surya's Micheal Charecter) also. Both were an inspiration from George Reddy's story.

This one too deals the same line, with different treatment and taking. George Reddy's Life is potrayed in a powerful way in the movie.

Till Interval, Movie is very engaging. Portrayal of George Reddy's childhood, situations leading him to revolt, telling us what made him to fight for a cause is shown very well.

There are 2 action sequences in first half one in Canteen and other is Fire ball fight(Shown in Trailer). Both of them were shot terrifically. Every college conflict scene is shot in the same way.

Dialogues are remarkable. Pre Interval scene, where George Reddy gives speech to College members is Awesome, making it an impactful interval bang.

Second half feels a bit slow but has its moments. It shows more of college politics and political conflicts. During these scenes the narration falls flat.

But no worries, George Reddy is here to make a strong impact with an excellent Speech. There are few scenes that give you a high and  many Goosebumps Guaranteed scenes throughout the movie.

Ending of the movie feels hasty. You will know when you see it. They chopped off the filming of Interview scene of George Reddy in which he speaks about his fights in college which remains unheard. They should have kept it which would have definitely been one of the major plus to the movie. One or two more scenes showing the director working on documentary and showing it to her grandmother or something like that could have created much more impact at the end but none of this happens and it ends abruptly.

The Death scenes is shot in an emotional way but it's a powerful one as the scene concludes.

Dialogues are a big asset to the movie. Background score too plays a key role. Retro music was used at many places to match the times, elevates Speech and actions scenes to next level. Cinematography is very good. Editing is neat.

(MY) Final Word:
It's a big responsibility for any director when he handles a biopic. Director has managed to create a strong impression of "George Reddy". Leaving few slow scenes and lags here and there, everyone will definitely find the story of George Reddy inspiring. On the Whole, George Reddy is Great attempt by the team showing the Life of India's own Che Guevara - "George Reddy". If the team took care of few minor flaws here and there, George Reddy had a good chance in becoming a "Cult" Film.

Bottomline: George Reddy - A Powerful Ode to Revolutionary Leader

Note: This is my take on the movie. That is why I am not rating the movie. I respect each and every movie. Making people read my review and influencing them to form an impression of a movie before watching the movie is never my intention. I am a Movie lover too. This is just to express my view on the movie. 😊
